NSA was asked to build a NEMA 3R, 15kV, 25kA, 3000A rated, outdoor switchboard line-up for power distribution.

The lineup features six (6) 1200A disconnect switches that provide reliable feeder isolation and operational flexibility. This ensures safe, dependable operation in all conditions.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

NSA'S SOLUTION

NSA offered to provide a custom built NEMA 3R,15kV, 3 Phase, 60 Hz, 25kA switchboard line-up consisting of six (6) incoming non-load break disconnect switches and one (1) 2000A, 15kV breaker fitted with SEL751 protection relay.

The line-up will consist of a 15kV CPT, SEL735 power analyzer relay with relays connected to RTAC. Contains a UPS provided to provide 125VDC control power to allow for dead bus operation and to provide control power during an operational event to maintain activity with the protection relays.

RESULTS & IMPACT

NSA supplied a skid-mounted, outdoor-rated (NEMA 3R), 15kV switchboard lineup designed for medium-voltage power distribution. The system is built around a 3000A main horizontal bus and includes switching, protection, control power, and monitoring capabilities in a single integrated assembly.
